Select a point to determine the interval to be measured, and then specify the distance among the copies. ![]() Measure Copies the selected entities at a distance specified by the user in a defined interval.Select a point to determine the interval to be divided into, digit the number of copies and press Enter. Divide Divides the specified distance by the number of parts defined by the user.To be able to use this option its needed to make a copy specifying manually the first offset point for the copy. Repeat (last) Repeats the copy command by using the last offset.Digit one of the following method of entering and press Enter:.Select the entities to copy and press Enter key.Choose Express > Modify > Multiple Copy.To retain proper scaling, save objects in the original drawing as a block (WBLOCK), and then insert them into AutoCAD using INSERT.Copies more the one object by using the options: repeat, array, divide and measure. When you convert a Windows metafile stored on the Clipboard to AutoCAD format, you may lose some scaling precision. If necessary, switch to the drawing where you want to paste the elements. The items can now be pasted into another drawing or into the same drawing. Press Enter after selecting the items to copy. To edit the pasted information, use the EXPLODE command to explode the block reference into its component objects. Copying and pasting To copy a clip, use Ctrl+C or go to the home tab > Clipboard panel > Copy Clip. If you convert pasted information to AutoCAD format, the object is inserted as a block reference. You can insert a linked or embedded object from the Clipboard into a drawing with PASTESPEC. Use the WMFBKGND and WMFFOREGND system variables to control whether the background or foreground is transparent for metafile objects pasted into other applications. For example, white objects pasted onto a white background won't be visible. The color of an object doesn't change when copied to the Clipboard. Metafiles pasted into the application are of higher resolution than bitmapped images (BMP files) but are not as easily manipulated as AutoCAD objects. Use this format to paste objects into Windows applications that support WMF files. The Windows metafile (picture) format contains screen vector information, and files can be scaled and printed without losing resolution. It retains all relevant object information, including block references and 3D aspects. Because it is the easiest format to edit, AutoCAD format is the preferred format for copying objects to and from the application. However, you can override this setting and convert pasted information to AutoCAD format. When you paste the Clipboard contents into a drawing, the format that retains the most information is used. When you copy objects to the Clipboard, information is stored in all available formats. Applications use different internal formats to store Clipboard information.
